An impressive career can conceal many a sad story beneath. Winner of the USA and World competitions in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current standing after many years of hard work and an immense amount of patience. Jones was the sole child of a large family with five children that was raised in a slum. Jones's mother travelled frequently and lived for a time in the basement of the church. Jones was required to relocate into a new school every during her time in high school due to her nomadic nature. Jones loved to participate in athletics in Theodore Roosevelt High School, was able to live away from her mother to pursue her interests. Jones resided in four homes during her high school years in order to study at one location. Jones took home an award called the Gatorade Iowa Track and Field Athletics of the Year prize during her time at school. She also was an active member of the school orchestra, as cellist. Jones was one of the most skilled hurdlers when she started college. At the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship in the 100-meter race. Also, she was among the runners-up team in the relay race of 100 meters. In 2003 and the year 2004, Jones was the winner of the indoor hurdles race at the NCAA Championship. Jones began her track career at the end of 2005, when she had completed her university studies. She won each of her events, the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track competitions in the same year.
The family was raised and born from Cape Town South Africa Brandt was able to move with her family Auckland New Zealand in her early teens. Brandt found herself a role by local casting agents, was cast in the role of Naevia in the Starz blockbuster Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. In collaboration with the producers Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences with her performance and became one the show's biggest starlets. She was born in Cape Town on the 2nd of December in 1981. She's a talented New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt, along with her entire family moved in Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. In Auckland she was employed as a salesperson, and then be promoted to IT manager consultant. Following a couple of modeling projects, Lesley appeared in countless commercials. In 2008, she finished her majors in acting as well as furthering her education in Meisner methods of study. Lesley's very first major acting role was in New Zealand's TV show Diplomatic Immunity. The character was later reprised as the role in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
